Hi, I’m Damien O’Mahony — a Senior Full Stack Developer based in Macroom, Co.Cork with over 7 years of professional experience building, maintaining, and optimising large-scale web platforms. I currently work with Tricel in Killarney, where I contribute to the technical delivery of multi-site, international web projects across WordPress and Magento. Alongside development, I also work with UX/UI and graphic design, bringing a practical, design-aware approach to building high-quality digital experiences.

About Me
Work Life
After graduating with a Master’s degree in Interactive Media from University College Cork in 2017, I began my professional career as a freelance web developer. In April 2018, I joined Tricel in Killarney as a Graduate Web Developer, where I have since progressed to Web Developer in 2019 and Senior Full Stack Developer in 2022.
Today, I play a key role in the technical delivery and ongoing development of over 30 WordPress and Magento websites for Tricel’s group companies across Ireland, the UK, France, Denmark, and Sweden. These include multilingual lead-generation sites, eCommerce platforms, and a range of custom web applications and calculators. Alongside hands-on development, I’m involved in CMS and server migrations, performance and SEO optimisation, API integrations, and cross-functional project delivery.
As part of a small development team within a wider marketing function, I provide technical guidance and mentoring to junior developers, contribute to delivery planning, and support graduate recruitment through CV screening and interviews when required.

Personal Life
Outside of work, I’m sports mad and a keen endurance runner. Since taking up running in May 2023, I’ve completed five marathons, with a personal best of 3:12:27 at the Dublin Marathon in 2025. I’m currently training for three marathons this year.
I have completed the Ring of Kerry Charity Cycle four times as well as two duathlons.
I’m a member of Macroom Golf Club and currently play off a handicap of 16 and I represented the club in team events in the past.
I also love to travel and have visited 29 countries so far — and counting!
